Isaac Sidney to Leave Febraban Leadership and Successor Already Chosen. Find Out Who It Is

Isaac Sidney will leave the leadership of Febraban after more than seven years holding executive positions at the entity, including two terms as president since March 2020. In the first half of 2025, Sidney signaled to the Board of Directors his intention to end his cycle at the helm of the federation.

The Febraban Board of Directors indicated Leandro Vilain to assume the Executive Presidency of the entity. Vilain currently holds the position of CEO of the Brazilian Association of Commercial Banks (ABBC), a role he has held for one year and four months. Previously, he was a partner and executive at the consulting firm Oliver Wyman.

The indication is part of an institutional transition described as harmonious and planned, reflecting a decision made more than a year ago. Vilain has extensive experience in the banking sector, having served on Febraban's board for nine years, between 2015 and 2024.
