The Government of Ceuta decided today to postpone the opening of municipal childcare facilities, attended by children up to 3 years of age. The measure extends the closure of these establishments until the end of September.
The decision to postpone the opening of the nurseries is due to the situation experienced in the Spanish city of Ceuta since the end of July. During that period, thousands of immigrants entered the city, generating a migratory crisis that affects the normal functioning of public services.
This is not the first time that the authorities of Ceuta have taken exceptional measures related to the migratory crisis. The local government has been adjusting its decisions according to the evolution of the situation in the territory.
