The president of Russia, Vladimir Putin, announced on Monday that Moscow seeks to expand cooperation with China in the areas of artificial intelligence and digital innovation. The declaration was made during a meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping in Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan. Putin stated that cooperation is developing successfully on all fronts.
The announcement occurred in the context of a two-day summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), a group formed by ten countries. The meeting brings together various world leaders, including the President of Iran, Masoud Pezeshkian, and the President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
Also participating in the summit are the Prime Ministers of India, Narendra Modi, and Pakistan, Shehbaz Sharif, in addition to other leaders. The event occurs while the conflict between Russia and Ukraine continues ongoing, with Ukrainian software coordinating drone attacks against Russian targets.
