A solidarity march for pulmonary fibrosis takes place in Lisbon, at Parque das Nações, bringing together patients, caregivers, family members, healthcare professionals and ordinary citizens in an awareness-raising initiative for the disease.
The event aims to raise public awareness of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, a chronic and progressive lung disease that affects thousands of people in Portugal and remains largely unknown to the general public.
The march organizers convey a message of support to patients, emphasizing that no one has to face this journey alone, thereby encouraging solidarity and companionship for those living with this condition.
This initiative is part of Interstitial Lung Disease Awareness Month, also seeking to highlight the importance of early diagnosis and access to appropriate treatments for patients.
