An ending to be the beginning: Portugal eliminated from the European Championship

Portugal was eliminated from the European football Championship, failing to move past the next phase of the competition. The Portuguese national team lost the decisive match against Poland, thus being out of the tournament.

This elimination comes after a historic performance by the Portuguese team, which managed for the first time to reach the second phase of the European Championship. On the way to this phase, Portugal achieved important victories against Spain and Romania.

Although it showed some good moments throughout the competition, Portugal could not break the so-called "law of the strongest," an expression that suggests the superiority of the strongest teams in the tournament.

The match against Poland thus represented the end of the Portuguese journey in this edition of the European Championship, ending a journey that had begun with high expectations after the good results obtained in the group phase.
