UBS reopens four months after ceiling collapses and hits three patients in North Teresina

The Basic Health Unit (UBS) in the Nova Teresina neighborhood, in the North zone of Teresina, was reopened this Monday (24) after four months of closure. The unit had been closed after the ceiling collapsed and hit three patients on March 27.

With the reopening, approximately 11,426 residents of the region are once again being served at the location. The UBS offers medical consultation services, nursing procedures, injectable medication administration, and rapid tests.

The unit underwent ceiling and roof repair work during the closure period. The Municipal Health Secretariat of Teresina is responsible for managing the UBS.
