Center-forward Bruno Duarte was officially presented as a new player for Vasco on Monday afternoon at the Moacyr Barbosa Training Center, in Jacarépagua, in the Southwest Zone of Rio de Janeiro. During the presentation press conference, the striker showed confidence and revealed his goal for his time at the cross-maltino club: to score at least one goal per match.

The player's presentation ended up being overshadowed by an incident involving his new teammate, David. Hours before the ceremony, the striker became a target of the Civil Police during an operation against a criminal organization operating across state lines. The investigation examines the player's involvement with drug and arms trafficking, as well as possible links to a criminal faction.

When asked about David's possible absence from the squad, Bruno Duarte stated he is prepared to play in different attacking positions and said his characteristics can help the team regardless of where he is used on the field. The club has not yet officially commented on the other striker's situation.
