A father forgot his 10-year-old son at a petrol station and only realized 140 kilometres later. The case happened this Sunday at a fuel station near Aldea del Cano, in the Spanish province of Cáceres, next to the A-66 motorway.
The boy was left alone at the petrol station after the father resumed his journey without making sure his son was in the vehicle. It was only when he stopped more than a hundred kilometres later that the adult remembered that the child was not with him.
Staff at the petrol station contacted the authorities after the boy was found alone. The Guardia Civil was alerted and managed to identify and locate the father, who had to return to the location to pick up his son.
