Matheus Rocha "Sniper" won the Thunder Fight 70 kg title by knocking out Pedro "Baba Yaga" still in the first round of the main event of edition 55, held last Saturday (29), at the Sports Gymnasium of São Bernardo do Campo, in São Paulo. In professional MMA, Xiomara Piriz knocked out Maria Luiza in the second round, while Rayssa "Harleen" and Ingrid Silva fought to a majority draw. Diego Barroso, Léo Pereira, Leandro Jobu, Erianny Castaneda and Victoria Ramos were also among the winners.
Among the amateur fighters, Letícia Gonçalves, from São Bernardo do Campo, submitted Argentine Micaela Galli in the first round. In the submission match, Manoel "Manumito", a UFC fighter and also a representative of the city, defeated James Michael dos Santos by submission.
Thunder Fight 55 also featured a charitable initiative linked to the tickets. The food collected will be destined for the Poatan Institute, a project created by former UFC champion Alex Poatan focused on serving children.
