The Praça 15 de Dezembro in Cartaxo hosts on Friday, September 18, the Election Gala of the Ambassadors of the Vineyard and Wine of the Municipality of Cartaxo 2026. The initiative aims to keep alive one of the traditions linked to the wine-growing identity of the municipality, involving young representatives from the different parishes. The gala begins at 9:30 PM and features eight candidates, representing five parishes and parish unions of the municipality.
From the Parish Union of Cartaxo and Vale da Pinta, Mariana Oliveira and Gil Valada are presenting their candidacies. The Parish Union of Ereira and Lapa will be represented by Rafaela Pereira. Vila Chã de Ourique presents Raquel Lopes and Pedro Santos. From Pontével, Carolina Inglês and Gonçalo Correia are competing, while Vale da Pedra will be represented by Ana Fernandes.
The election of the Ambassadors of the Vineyard and Wine seeks to value the territory's connection to the vineyard and wine and ensure the continuity of a tradition that involves the parishes, associations, and businesses of the municipality. The gala has free entry and will also be broadcast live through the Facebook and YouTube pages of the Cartaxo Municipal Council.
