The Energy Services Regulatory Authority (ERSE) revealed the new reference efficient price values for fuels in Portugal. The efficient price of simple unleaded 95 gasoline increased to 2.030 euros per liter, representing an increase compared to the previous period.
Conversely, simple automotive diesel saw its efficient price fall to 2.078 euros per liter. This decrease contrasts with the increase recorded in gasoline, creating a different dynamic in the fuel market.
The regulator stressed that retail selling prices are freely set by each operator, which means that the efficient price serves only as a guiding reference and not as a mandatory value for gas stations.
ERSE is the entity responsible for regulating energy services in Portugal, including the monitoring and publication of reference indicators for the fuel sector.
