The Law course reached 652.9 thousand enrollments in Brazil, positioning itself among the three undergraduate programs with the highest number of students, according to the 2024 Higher Education Census released by the National Institute for Educational Studies and Research Anísio Teixeira (Inep). The significant volume of future professionals reignites the discussion on how these students can gain practical experience before completing their degree.
Legal correspondence emerges as one of the main entry points to the profession's routine. According to Priscila Pinheiro, lawyer and CEO of Correspondente Dinâmico, this area encompasses a broader set of tasks than the exclusive practice of law, offering opportunities for insertion into the job market.
According to the specialist, there are support activities that do not require registration with the Order of Attorneys of Brazil (OAB), which can represent a valuable opportunity for experience for law students and graduates, as long as the legal limits of each function are respected.
Among these activities are obtaining documents and certificates, which can be carried out by students and recent graduates who do not yet have professional registration, allowing an approach to legal practice even before completing the course.
