One month after the events in Ceuta, Morad, a young Maghrebi, tells his story. During his attempt to swim across to Ceuta, he saw five dead men in the sea, already lifeless before they had even started the crossing. This traumatic episode profoundly marked the young man, who decided he will not attempt to immigrate without papers again.
Despite the trauma, Morad maintains the dream of one day working in a country with better job opportunities, less nepotism, and less corruption. However, aware of the risks, he chose to postpone these plans.
Currently, the young man dedicates himself to finishing his academic studies and working on his grandfather's lands, dedicating himself to sowing. This quieter life allows him to process what he lived through and reflect on the future without risking his own life.
