Co-participation in goods transport for baking supported starting tomorrow

SAPO31 August 2026 at 14:04

The Regional Secretariat for Economy will co-finance 90% of the maritime transport costs for raw materials destined for bread and pastry production on the island of Porto Santo. The measure takes effect starting tomorrow.

The support exclusively covers businesses in the baking and pastry sector located in Porto Santo, which need to import raw materials by sea for their production.

This co-financing measure will remain in effect until the end of the year, providing sector businesses with significant relief on operational costs related to goods transport.

The maximum support amount per business is capped at 10,000 euros, thus establishing a ceiling for the co-participation awarded to each establishment covered by the initiative.
