Fuels were the main factor responsible for the acceleration of the inflation rate to 3.3% in August, interrupting a downward trajectory that had been observed for three months.
This rise in the Consumer Price Index was driven by new tension in the Middle East conflict, which affected fuel prices.
Inflation had been falling in the three months prior to August, after reaching a peak of 3.6% in April.
