Officers from the 12th DP (Copacabana) arrested Wilker William Cardozo da Silva, who presented himself on the dating app with the social name Ivy. He is accused of practicing extortion against a man who arranged a meeting with him in the Copacabana area.
After the sexual encounter ended, the victim was surprised with a demand for payment of R$ 1,500. When claiming that he only had R$ 300, the victim began to suffer threats.
The man was subdued with the application of a chokehold, a strangulation technique, and threatened with a knife. Under coercion, he was forced to open banking apps and type passwords, resulting in multiple PIX transfers that totaled R$ 14,504.20.
A second trans woman, who used the social name Brenda, also allegedly participated in the crime. The investigation continues to identify and arrest the other individuals involved in the extortion scheme.
