Brussels placed ChatGPT under enhanced supervision under the Digital Services Act. The decision was made as part of the classification of the so-called Very Large Online Platforms.

In addition to ChatGPT, the decision also covers Reddit and Roblox, which were also classified in this category of platforms subject to stricter obligations.

The three platforms reported having on average more than 45 million monthly users in the European Union, which justifies their inclusion in this classification that implies greater supervision and additional responsibilities.
