Cause of fire that killed Spanish tourist in Fatima hotel yet to be determined

The Judicial Police revealed today that the cause of the fire that this morning caused the death of a Spanish tourist in a hotel in Fatima is still to be determined. The information was confirmed to the Portuguese news agency by a source from the Department of Criminal Investigation of Leiria of the PJ.

According to the same source, the site was inspected and evidence was collected, but it has not yet been possible to determine what caused the fire that killed the tourist.

The fire occurred during the early morning at the hotel located in Fatima, which is an important pilgrimage site in Portugal. The victim was of Spanish nationality.

The investigations to determine the cause of the fire continue to be handled by the Department of Criminal Investigation of Leiria of the Judicial Police.
