The Alvão area will have, starting from the beginning of the 2026/2027 school year, a new public transport line that will connect Trandeiras to Vila Pouca de Aguiar. This new connection, designated Line MU053, will be provided by the company Flaviamobil and will also cover the localities of Afonsim, Reguengo and Cabanes, creating an additional alternative for those who need to travel between these parishes and the municipal seat.
The route will operate daily in each direction, with departure from Trandeiras at 07:30 and return from Vila Pouca de Aguiar at 18:00. This new service comes as a complement to the transport already provided by the Municipality in the Alvão area and aims to meet the mobility needs during the school term.
Line MU053 will operate exclusively during the school term, with no service on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. The reinforcement of the transport network is intended to have a direct impact on the mobility of the populations of this rural area, where the existence of regular connections is essential to facilitate access to school, services, commerce and other facilities available in Vila Pouca de Aguiar.
