Air Europa and Iberia Resume Flights This Week to Caracas

Air Europa and Iberia will resume their flights to and from Simón Bolívar International Airport in Maiquetía, Caracas, Venezuela this week. This decision marks the return of operations to the main airport of the Venezuelan capital after a period of suspension.

Operations had been suspended following the earthquakes recorded in June, which affected the airport's infrastructure. During the months of July and August, both airlines operated from Arturo Michelena International Airport in Valencia as a temporary alternative.

Air Europa will be the first to resume direct connections, with flights between Madrid and Caracas starting Tuesday. Iberia also plans to resume its operations to the same destination during this week.

The return to Simón Bolívar International Airport represents the normalization of air connections between Venezuela and Spain, facilitating travel for thousands of passengers who depend on these international routes.
