The XLIX Barometer reveals that 59% of Portuguese companies expect an increase in turnover, maintaining their bet on growth. However, only 6% of companies consider that Portugal is well prepared for the next decade.
The private sector presents clear demands for the next state budget, claiming administrative simplification as the top priority.
Furthermore, companies demand relief from the tax burden on labour and on businesses themselves, indicating that these factors are essential for their development.
The study, which compiles the opinions of companies from various sectors, thus highlights a scenario of cautious optimism, with a vision for growth but with significant concerns regarding the country's competitiveness and preparedness.
