Woman, 63, dies in hotel fire in Fátima

A 63-year-old Spanish woman died in the early hours of this Monday as a result of a fire that broke out in a hotel room in Fátima. The alarm for the fire was raised at 00:39.

The flames forced the evacuation of 52 people from the hotel. Authorities were dispatched to the scene to fight the fire and evacuate the occupants.

The 63-year-old woman did not survive the fire and died at the scene. The causes of the incident have not yet been released.
