TAP closed the first half of the year with a net loss exceeding 99 million euros, according to the results announced by the company. Despite the negative result, the Portuguese airline managed to significantly increase its revenues during the period.
The airline recorded record revenues during the first six months of the year, which represents a positive data point in the company's financial performance. The revenue growth contrasts with the negative net result presented.
The number of passengers transported by TAP also reached a historic record in the first half of the year. This record volume of passengers demonstrates an increase in demand for the airline's services, although operational costs exceeded the gains obtained from the higher revenues.
