Traffic violation leads man sought for rape of vulnerable person to be arrested by PRF on BR-101, in RN

A 30-year-old man, sought by justice for rape of a vulnerable person, was arrested by the Federal Highway Police (PRF) during a traffic checkpoint on Sunday morning, in Extremoz, in Greater Natal, in Rio Grande do Norte. The approach occurred at km 77 of BR-101, around 9:40 AM.

The agents approached a blue Honda CG 125 Titan motorcycle after identifying a traffic violation. During the checkpoint, the officers consulted security systems and found there was an outstanding arrest warrant for the driver.

The crime for which the man was sought is rape of a vulnerable person, provided for in article 217-A of the Penal Code. The judicial order had been issued by the 2nd Regional Execution Court.
