The propaganda in question made reference to what was called "Flávio Bolsonaro's curriculum," son of president Jair Bolsonaro and candidate for the Senate in Rio de Janeiro. The material made mentions of the terms "Master" and "rachadinha," in reference to scandals involving the politician.
Flávio Bolsonaro was convicted by the Court of Justice of Rio de Janeiro in the "rachadinha" case, a scheme by which he is accused of diverting public resources from his office when he was a city councilman. The term "Master" refers to one of the companies investigated in the case.
The TSE's decision was favorable to a representation presented by the right-wing coalition, which considered the propaganda harmful to the honor of the candidates. This is one of several actions that have moved Electoral Justice during the campaign period.
