Margarida Davim, commentator at CNN Portugal, analysed the political moment of the Government led by Luís Montenegro. In her analysis, she identified that there is great pressure on the Portuguese executive.
According to the commentator, all the situations that were already proceeding problematically before continue to generate difficulties for the executive. These accumulated issues contribute to the pressure that the Government is currently facing.
The causes of this pressure include two main aspects: the controversies involving members of the executive, particularly ministers, and the persistent problems in public services. Both factors have been accumulating and remaining unresolved.
Davim highlighted that the combination of these elements creates a situation of great pressure on the Government, suggesting that the executive faces significant challenges both in terms of internal management and the provision of services to citizens.
