USC Paredes began their journey in the Generali Tranquilidade Portuguese Cup in the best possible way by defeating Ermesinde SC 1936 3-1 in Ermesinde. The Paredes side showed determination from the start of the match and confirmed their superiority with a two-goal victory, securing a place in the second round of the competition.
Rebordosa AC was eliminated by FC Alpendorada in a highly competitive regional derby. The match ended level at two goals after extra time, and the tie was decided on penalties. Alpendorada was more clinical and won 5-4, sending Rebordosa out of the competition. Last season, Rebordosa had a good run, reaching the third round.
In the same round, AD Marco 09 SAD won 1-0 away at SC Régua, while AC Vila Meã was defeated on penalties 4-3 by FC Maia Lidador, after a 0-0 draw in regulation and extra time.
Following the round, three regional teams remain in the Portuguese Cup: USC Paredes, FC Alpendorada, and AD Marco 09. Professional league teams will enter in the second round, and FC Paços de Ferreira received a bye from this first round, automatically qualifying for the second round.
