Around 6 thousand people, according to the City Hall of Maricá's estimate, participated in the 2026 edition of the March for Jesus, held this Saturday (29). With the theme "The Power of Prayer", the event gathered faithful from different churches and Christian denominations in a program that combined walk, moments of worship and a series of free shows.
The gathering of participants began on Vereador Francisco Sabino da Costa Avenue, near the DPO. From there, thousands of people followed in a walk to Orlando de Barros Pimentel Square, in the city center, transforming the streets into a large public act of religious celebration.
The event counted with the presence of families, youth groups and members of evangelical communities from different neighborhoods of Maricá, who were able to watch free shows in the square. The March for Jesus is a traditional event that annually gathers faithful from the evangelical segment of the city.
