Paraguayan authorities found the body of a Brazilian in an abandoned vehicle on Saturday afternoon (29), on a rural road in the municipality of Presidente Franco. The victim was identified as Matheus Silva Souza Teles, 30 years old, and had a bullet wound to the head.
According to the Trece portal, Matheus's wife, Ingryd Marighetti Ribeiro Cavalin Teles, reported that her husband was shot in the head by a man named Lucas Homes Couto, also Brazilian, who was later arrested near Shopping Lago on Monsenhor Rodríguez Avenue.
The woman reportedly asked police in Ciudad del Este for help on Friday night (28), approximately 9 km from where the car was found. The attack reportedly occurred around 9:30 PM. According to Ingryd, she, Matheus, Lucas, and Lucas's companion, who is also named Ingrid, were inside the vehicle at the time of the crime.
In a video circulating on social media, the victim's wife recounts that they were heading to dinner when the murder occurred. The case is being investigated by Paraguayan authorities.
