The death toll from a devastating flood in Nepal has risen to 768 according to local authorities. The disaster also left more than 3000 people missing, a number that keeps rescue teams on high alert as search operations continue in the affected areas.

Nepalese authorities count at least 752 confirmed deaths, while in neighboring China at least 16 deaths have been recorded related to the same weather phenomenon. The cross-border incident highlights the regional scale of the catastrophe.
