José Palmeira, International Relations specialist, warned of the possibility of a new Russian ground offensive against Ukrainian territory, with particular focus on the capital Kyiv. According to the specialist, this offensive could count on more resources and greater capability than previous ones.
Palmeira considered that "we have reached a point in the war" where any action could "have consequences for the resolution of the conflict", underscoring the importance of the current moment.
The specialist also warned that an offensive of this magnitude would have to be prepared with "more time", which makes it unlikely to happen during winter.
According to José Palmeira's analysis, it is more foreseeable that any Russian advances would be made in spring, when climatic conditions will be more favorable to large-scale ground operations.
