Israel declared a state of war after a strong multiple attack from the Gaza Strip. According to the Palestinian Authority, Israeli airstrikes have already killed 508 people, including around a hundred children, and injured 2,800. On the Israeli side, more than 700 are dead and 2,300 are injured from the unprecedented Hamas attack. There are also at least 130 people taken hostage by Palestinian groups. The conflict directly involves Israel, the Hamas group and the Palestinian Authority, in an escalation of violence that led Israel to officially declare a state of war.
