Vasco beat Cruzeiro 3-1 this Saturday, at São Januário, and managed to leave the relegation zone of the Brasileirão. The goals were scored by Tchê Tchê, Lucas Freitas, and David for the home team, while Felipe Morais scored for Cruzeiro.
The cruz-maltino team had a dominant performance during most of the match. In the first half, Vasco controlled the actions and opened the scoring at the 33rd minute with Tchê Tchê. Goalkeeper Otappé, from Cruzeiro, prevented the deficit from being even greater with great saves.
In the final 45 minutes, Vasco extended the lead early. Lucas Freitas took advantage of a cross from Lucas Piton at the 10th minute of the second half to score the second goal. With the result practically guaranteed, the team coached by Pedro Emanuel managed the score and suffered little.
In stoppage time, David scored Vasco's third goal and Felipe Morais scored for Cruzeiro. With the victory, Vasco jumped to 16th place and will sleep outside the relegation zone, bringing hope to the fans.
