On August 21st, the city of Funchal celebrated its 518 years of history and identity, with a vast and diversified commemorative program. The festivities included multiple events that marked this significant date for the city.
The highlight of the celebration was the Commemorative Concert for City Day, free entry, entitled "ABBA Symphonic". The event featured the participation of the ABBA Real Tribute group and the Madeira Classical Orchestra, under the direction of maestro Mikica Jevtić. The concert attracted practically six thousand people, demonstrating the enormous participation of the population in the scheduled activities.
