Portuguese rapper and producer Sam the Kid, whose real name is Samuel Mira, was called at the last minute to replace Black Star, who cancelled their visit to the Meo Kalorama festival. The Portuguese artist rose to the challenge and took to the stage with Orquestra and also with Orelha Negra, guaranteeing a memorable show for the audience present.
During the performance, Sam the Kid expressed his deep connection with the audience and with Portugal, stating that "I have been walking on this soil since 1979", revealing his roots and his long history in the country. This statement highlighted the importance of the moment for the artist.
The rapper gave his all during the concert, something he considered natural given that, in his own words, that was his place. Sam the Kid's performance at Meo Kalorama thus represented a celebration of Portuguese music and the career of one of the most important names in national hip hop.
