Brazilian Dimas Mota, rider from the Picusa Academy team, is the new leader of the 20th edition of Volta a Portugal de Juniores. The change in leadership happened after a time trial was held this Saturday in the city of Sabugal.
The winner of the time trial was Dutchman Loek Hovers, who competes for the Willebrord Wil Vooruit team. His performance allowed him to stand out in the individual time trial stage.
Dimas Mota thus took command of the General Classification of the race, replacing the previous leader after the conclusion of this timed stage.
The Volta a Portugal de Juniores is in its 20th edition, continuing to be a reference competition for young cyclists in Portugal.
