Correios registered a loss of R$ 2.4 billion in the second quarter of 2026, according to data disclosed by the company. The value represents a 5.5% decrease compared to the deficit of R$ 2.53 billion recorded in the same period of 2025.

Year-to-date, the Brazilian state-owned company accumulates a loss of R$ 5.55 billion. This value is 30.4% higher than the negative balance of R$ 4.26 billion verified in the first six months of 2025.

The company is going through a serious financial crisis, as the presented numbers indicate. The data update reflects the worsening of the state-owned company's financial situation in recent months.
