Flavio Bolsonaro defends unblocking environmental licenses to release resort construction in Angra

Flavio Bolsonaro, PL presidential candidate, spent Saturday holding events in Angra dos Reis, on the Costa Verde of Rio de Janeiro state, a city where the family has a vacation home. Accompanied by fellow party members, the candidate climbed into a pickup truck to Cais Santa Luzia, from where he participated in a car caravan followed by a boat parade through the region.

Flavio criticized the Angra 3 nuclear plant project, which he says "is still unfinished today" and drains "taxpayer money." His proposal is to establish private sector partnerships to complete the plant's construction.

The candidate advocated for unblocking environmental regulations that he claims have prevented proper development in Angra dos Reis. He criticized local preservation rules and supported streamlining permits for infrastructure projects and resorts in the area.

The idea of transforming Angra into the "Brazilian Cancun" was already part of ex-president Jair Bolsonaro's plans, Flavio's father. The candidate argued that millions of Brazilians spend thousands of dollars at international destinations when they could invest in their own country.
