AMI extends support mission in Venezuela by two months

AMI's Support Mission extended its stay in Venezuela by two months. The decision was made to continue the humanitarian assistance work that has been developed in the country.

According to the latest updated report released by the Venezuelan authorities, 6,509 people died due to the earthquakes. Additionally, 226,696 injured were treated in hospitals across the country.

The earthquakes caused widespread devastation across Venezuelan territory, leading to the need for international support to address the emergency. AMI's mission has contributed to strengthening the response capacity of local authorities.
