A fire at a hospital in Pakistan killed 14 babies in the maternity ward. The country's prime minister suspended those responsible for the incident.

The hospital had no fire alarm, sprinkler system or emergency procedures, which contributed to the severity of the situation.

The flames consumed the maternity ward in just two minutes, with 15 babies inside at the time of the fire. Only one of the babies survived.
