Hackers demand two million euros from the city of Berlin after a massive data theft. Mayor Kai Wegner reacted to the attack guaranteeing that "Berlin will not be blackmailed", demonstrating firmness in the city's position regarding the ransom demand.
The group responsible for the attack is identified by the German press as Rhysida, a cybercrime organization that threatens to auction personal data of citizens and public officials if the ransom is not paid.
