A scrubland fire broke out in the Sotavento algarvio area, covering the areas of Faro, Loulé, and Almancil. The fire originated in vegetation and spread rapidly under existing conditions.
The civil protection authorities launched a response operation with a significant deployment. Twenty-four ground operatives were mobilized, supported by five firefighting vehicles and one aerial resource to help control the flames.
The teams arrived at the Operations Theater and began firefighting actions. The nature of the scrubland fire and the extent of the affected area justified the mobilization of substantial resources for this incident in the Algarve.
