Choose the future of euro banknotes: vote for your favorite "face" until September 21

The euro banknotes will have a new look and the European Central Bank is asking European citizens for help to vote for their favorites. The ECB opened a public consultation process so that Europeans can vote for their preferred designs until September 21. This initiative aims to involve the population in choosing the future notes that will circulate in the euro area. The European Central Bank believes that citizen participation can help create greater identification of Europeans with their common currency.

Invalidity pensioners in Portugal can request the Solidary Supplement for the Elderly (CSI), a support that can reach up to 670 euros per month, even before reaching the normal retirement age (66 years and nine months in 2026), as long as they do not receive the Social Inclusion Benefit and meet the access conditions. The annual reference value is 8,040 euros, and the CSI is a differential benefit that supplements income up to that limit. For single people, the considered gross annual income cannot exceed 8,040 euros, while for couples the limit is 14,070 euros. The request can be made online or at Social Security offices, with payment due from the month following the submission of all required documentation.

Thinking ahead to the next World Cup, Saudi investors set to look at "sport and energy" business in Portugal
