ALPIAGRA promoted another edition of the Best Melon and Watermelon Competition of Alpiarça, a traditional initiative that aims to value local producers and highlight some of the municipality's most emblematic agricultural products. The ceremony included the delivery of participation certificates to competitors and the official announcement of winners in the different categories.
In the "Sugar Baby" Watermelon (Black) category, first place was awarded to Sérgio da Rama, followed by Rodrigo Rama in second place and Tributos da Natureza in third place. In the "Crimson Sweet" Watermelon (Striped) category, Dora Cordeiro won first place, António Bernardo came in second, and Nuno Melo in third place. The White Melon category was also in competition, although the complete results were not fully disclosed in the article.
The organization publicly expressed its congratulations to the awarded producers, as well as to all participants who continuously contribute to the valorization and promotion of local products. The competition once again highlighted the quality of Alpiarça's agricultural production, a region recognized for its tradition and excellence in melon and watermelon cultivation.
