Motorcyclist injured after skidding and falling into grotto in Gondomar

A motorcyclist was injured after skidding and falling inside a cave in Gondomar. The accident occurred when the man was riding on a road in the region and lost control of the motorcycle, ending up falling inside a cave.

The alert was given to the emergency services, which triggered a rescue operation to assist the victim. The authorities dispatched rescue resources to the site to extract the man from the cave.

The rescue was carried out by the Portuguese Air Force helicopter, based in Ovar. The aircraft was dispatched to transport the injured person to receive specialized medical care.

The motorcyclist was then transported to a hospital unit, where he received assistance for the injuries sustained as a result of the skid and fall into the cave.
