While the outcome of the Lindsay Clancy case is pending, another mother who killed her children during postpartum depression was found innocent

While awaiting the outcome of the Lindsay Clancy case in the United States, another mother who killed her children during a postpartum depression episode was found innocent. Dimone Gleming was acquitted by a court in Bronx, New York, after killing her children during what was described as a "state of severe psychosis." The court recognized that the mother had no control over her actions at the time of the crimes, due to the mental health condition she was experiencing. Dimone Gleming's case comes at the same time as a verdict is awaited in the trial of Lindsay Clancy, who is also a mother and is accused of having killed her children during a postpartum depression episode. Both cases draw attention to the severity of postpartum depression and to how courts handle mothers who commit crimes during psychotic episodes.
