The natural disaster struck both Nepal, the Himalayan country, and the neighboring Chinese region of Tibet, totaling 676 dead on both sides of the border.

The criminals ripped the chain from his neck, forcibly removed him from the vehicle and fled with the car with the girl still inside. Authorities intensify fight against drug trafficking in Beira Interior

Security forces — PJ, GNR and PSP — intensified the fight against drug trafficking in Beira Interior, with more than two dozen operations in the last 12 months resulting in over 30 arrests. The PJ in Guarda arrested a suspect in the act of preparing to sell hashish, seizing approximately 210 doses. A large-scale operation by the PJ resulted in the arrest of 20 people linked to introducing drugs into prisons. Hashish, cocaine, locally produced cannabis and synthetic substances such as MDMA, ecstasy and ketamine were seized. In Castelo Branco, the PSP dismantled an illegal cannabis factory with over 27,000 doses. Surveillance focused on urban centers and motorways, with preventive detention applied to over 15 defendants.
