More than 2,400 people are missing in Nepal after the floods and landslides that devastated the country. UNICEF warned that at least 17,000 children need humanitarian assistance due to the catastrophe.

Emergency teams continue to advance through the mud searching for survivors, while the risk of new floods in the region persists. Authorities have already recovered 586 bodies of victims, some of which were swept downstream into Indian territory.
