The Civil Police of Piauí arrested a woman who was being investigated for alleged fraud in the sale of lots in the interior of the state. The suspect was arrested pursuant to a court order.

According to the investigations conducted by the police, the woman negotiated and sold land that was not her property. The fraudulent action harmed several people who believed they were legitimately acquiring the lots.

Authorities intensify fight against drug trafficking in Beira Interior

Security forces — PJ, GNR and PSP — intensified the fight against drug trafficking in Beira Interior, with more than two dozen operations in the last 12 months resulting in over 30 arrests. The PJ in Guarda arrested a suspect in the act of preparing to sell hashish, seizing approximately 210 doses. A large-scale operation by the PJ resulted in the arrest of 20 people linked to introducing drugs into prisons.
