Iran's President asks the people to accept the economic consequences of the war

Diário de Viseu29 August 2026 at 12:45

Iran's President, Pezeshkian, asked the Iranian people to accept the economic consequences of the war. Pezeshkian is considered a moderate within the Iranian power structure.

Last week, the President had already acknowledged that the country faced "many economic difficulties," admitting the gravity of the situation.

Tehran assured that Washington will not gain anything from the economic pressures imposed on Iran, demonstrating a position of resistance against the sanctions.
